“Up until I got my sample salt block, I had always been dealing with those big heavy fifty-pounders. And at first I tried to put them in a stall, and then we’d find ourselves tripping over it as the horses would move it all over the stall. In the past we’ve tried the one-pound blocks, and we didn’t like that either, as we either had to use the dangerous metal holders, or here again, they flip them up out of their feed bin or feed tub, and we were tripping on them or taking them out with the manure.

So when I had a chance to try the Himalayan salt block, I *love* the fact that I can tie them in the stall, I’ve had horses that actually started to use it like a toy, and they’ll just keep rolling it. It doesn’t seem to break like the other blocks would do, they’d break in half or they’d break to a point where it wasn’t safe to leave them in there.

I’ve had the Himalayan salt blocks in everyone of my stalls now for the last probably month and a half, and I’ve had a few horses go through the first one kind of fast, but when they get their second one, they seem to slow down, but it looks like they lick it, I see them licking it from time to time, almost daily, and I’m just very happy with it, I think it’s just a very easy thing to use, and if there is a chance that it is a little bit more expensive than the other salt blocks, I think it’s worth it because I know the horses are all getting a chance to get salt. I just couldn’t be happier!”
