Where Can I Get HorseSalt  Himalayan Salt Licks?

The HorseSalt brand Himalayan Salt Licks are available in fine tack shops and feed stores, as well as from a variety of professional horsemen and riding stables.  Visit the Retailer Lookup page to find one near you.  If
nobody near you carries it, you may be qualified to carry it.  You can also suggest us to your tack or feed store.

What else do you offer?

Right now, HorseSalt.com is offering Himalayan Salt licks in 2 sizes.  We’ll test market a couple other sizes in the near future, as well as improved hanging devices.  We can get the licks in any size for holders that you currently retail as well.  Just let me know the dimensions, and I’ll get them for you.

Our sister site,  EquineTeleseminar.net, carries some products that we’ll test market in tack and feed stores in a few areas.

What health benefits are associated with using these blocks?

Australian cattle and sheep farmers have noted better weight gain, under normal weather circumstances, and less weight loss during periods of heat.
This of course translates directly to better market value.  If you have horses, you probably aren’t raising them for slaughter, but heat and cold stress still affects your horses’ condition, recovery time, and trainability.  If you can lessen the stress from heat and cold, you get better performance from your horse and a better price when you go to sell it (and we all know what a challenge that is these days)!

Other health benefits include:

  • Regulating the water content throughout the body. Because the Himalayan salt is so pure, so free of toxins, and not baked at 1200 degrees, the crystalline structure doesn’t require nearly as much water or energy to absorb as
    the ‘regular’ stuff.  This means your horse doesn’t bloat on
    water, dilute his electrolytes, and YOU don’t waste as much bedding – or time and energy cleaning his stall!
  • Promoting a healthy pH balance in your cells, particularly your brain
    cells.  As it doesn’t use as much water, the pH remains right where it should be, which allows them to function with less energy wasted, and allows your horse to perform better, no matter what he’s doing.
  • Promoting blood sugar health and helping to reduce the signs of aging.
  • Assisting in the generation of hydroelectric energy in cells in your horse’s body. Electrolytes are critical for the movement of electrical energy in his body. Salt, as well as other minerals helps create that. When the

Please visit the Become A Dealer page, and also read through the Dealer FAQ that you find on that page.  I am adding to both these FAQs all the time right now, and if you read through it carefully before you email us, you’ll find it does answer a lot of your questions.  If you’re interested, sign up to the mailing list on either of those pages, and fill out the Dealer Application. We’ll approve you as soon as humanly possible.

What charitable work does HorseSalt do?

We support a number of charities, starting with some we are familiar with here in Minnesota.  An up-to-date list can be found on our  Charity page.

We are implementing programs with our dealers to help support a variety of charities across the county, including horse rescues, therapeutic riding programs, 4-H programs and so forth.
