Patricia And Her Pal Sparky

Hi! I’m Patricia Reszetylo, pictured at left with my 1987 Appaloosa/TBx gelding, “Sparky”. I ride dressage and trails, and I’m working on competing in the 2012 Olympic Games.

Horse Salt started up the summer of 2007, and is run out of a home office so we can keep our overhead and your prices as low as possible. While I’m currently doing all the shipping from Minnesota, we’ve added a center in southern California and will add ones in the Pacific Northwest and Central US as we roll out into those markets.

I decided to carry the Himalayan Salt licks as it’s a high-quality product. In fact, my horses have abandoned their manufactured salt block in favor of their Himalayan lick. My sister’s Chocolate Lab loves it too.. and I’m known to just sit and lick samples sitting in my office.

I decided to primarily supply retailers, as I could find virtually no domestic suppliers of Himalayan salt for them, and while I could make a lot retailing it myself, I’m more interested in helping larger numbers of people. Niching down often gives one a better target market, and this is proving to be the case here as well.

I also run EquineTeleseminar.net, hosting interviews with some of the most fascinating equestrians you’d ever hope to find. While I’ve done all my own distribution for that business, I’ll be test marketing those products through tack shops as well.
